JET DEVICES: ejectors and injectors of various purposes

Jet devises (ejectors and injectors) are used in many branches of industry: petrochemical, gas-and-oil producing, oil refinery industries, food industry, thermal and atomic power engineering, space and deep-sea technologies and other.

Technovacuum Ltd. develops and delivers jet devices of various types: liquid-gas, gas-gas, gas-vapor, liquid-liquid (ejectors) and liquid-vapor (injectors) jet devices.

The development of jet devices (ejectors and injectors) is carried out in accordance with technical requirements of the Customer using the advanced calculation techniques worked out by specialists of Technovacuum Ltd.

Technovacuum Ltd. provides to the Customer preliminary calculations of jet devices with aim of determination of their introduction efficiency.

Example of use of ejectors worked out by specialists of Technovacuum Ltd. in the units of gas, condensate and oil preparation at oil-gas condensate field Cocdumulac (Uzbekistan).

For the compression of low-pressure gases in this device there is used a potential energy of high-pressure gas, liquid and two-phase flows, which is usually irreversibly lost on the throttles without any effective work in the existing processes of gas, condensate and oil preparation.

1. Liquid-gas ejectors

Liquid-gas ejectors are designed for compression of gas-vapor mixtures of any composition at the expense of energy of high-velocity liquid flow.

Liquid-gas ejectors are used for:

  • Compression of low-pressure (for example, flare and associated oil) gases at enterprises of gas-and-oil producing, petrochemical, chemical, oil refinery industries other;
  • Vacuum creation in process equipment of oil refinery, petrochemical and other enterprises, in steam-turbine condensers, by drying of food products and wood, by degassing of various liquids etc.;
  • Saturation of liquids by different gases;
  • Purification of process gases from toxic matters and dust;
  • Mixing gas with liquid for acceleration of chemical and biological reaction, absorption processes;
  • Pumping of gases into the bed in order to increase crude oil production;
  • Many other fields of application (see [1] monograph Two-phase jet devices of V.G Tsegelsky).

2. Liquid-gas ejectors with two-phase active flow.

They are designed for compression of gas-vapor mixtures of any composition at the expense of energy of high-velocity liquid-gas flow.

They can be used for compression of low-pressure (flare) gases at the expense of use of a potential energy of high-pressure two-phase flows, which is usually irreversibly lost on the throttles in oil&gas production processes without any effective work.

The jet devices of this type developed by Technovacuum Ltd. are introduced at the oil-gas condensate field Cocdumulac (Uzbekistan).

3. Gas-gas ejectors.

They are designed for pumping of gas-vapor mixtures of any composition at the expense of energy of high-velocity gas flow.

Some fields of application:

  • Compression of low-pressure gases at the expense of use of a potential energy of high-pressure gas flows at oil and oil-gas condensate fields;
  • Vacuum creation by conducting processes in various branches of industry;
  • Many other fields of application.

4. Steam-gas ejectors.

They are designed for pumping of various gas-vapor flows at the expense of water steam power.

Some fields of application:

  • Vacuum creation in vessels by conducting of processes in various branches of industry (thermal power engineering, metallurgy, petrochemical, food industry etc.);
  • Compression of gas-vapor flows.

5. Steam-liquid jet devices (injectors).

In these devices, by way of conversion of steam-power to kinetic energy of liquid jet, there is obtained a full pressure of liquid mixture at the injector outlet which is more than full pressures of steam and liquid at the injector inlet.

These devices are used for water heating and delivery in heat supply systems, in systems of supply of chemically cleaned water to deaerators etc.

6. Liquid-liquid ejectors.

They are designed for pumping of various liquids at the expense of energy of high-velocity liquid flow.

They are for intensive mixing of liquids in various processes, as a booster, for increase of cavitation resource of centrifugal pumps etc.
